York
We caught a local bus (double decker) from Robin Hood's Bay to Scarborough. The skill of the driver, manoeuvring the narrow laneways was breathtaking. From there we took the Trans Pennine Express to York. England's trains are fast smooth and efficient😀This is the Shambles, and the queue is to buy tickets for a York Ghost tour.
Clare love the York Minster, with Europe's largest stain glass window (no photo as it was covered by scaffolding)
Ross ( and Clare) loved the city walls which cover maybe 3/4 of the old city and gave us enough exercise to earn a coffee. We sat here and listened to the violinist busker. I Photoshopped away thecouple sitting in front of us.
This cow is pretty neat. They had a sheep and a horse. We want one for our front yard.
