Day 8 Kirkby Stephen to Keld

21.5kms (160.5) 465m gained
Wind and mud
Wind and mud
Wind and mud
Lunch spot out of the wind
Slabs for us to walk on. The grass is bog.
We chose to do the green lower route to avoid the worse of the bogs...one lady sunk in to her thighs. We still had lots of climbing and great views if we could stand up in the wind.

Today we have crossed the Pennines and we are halfway on our walk.
No trees in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Lots of sheep!
Not kept for their wool. They don't bother shearing.
Lambs everywhere.
James Herriot country is forbidding. Even in spring.

No rain though
Good Night
